Course Descriptions & Requirements
No matter what your passion, Belly Queen lessons are flexible in their approach. Small group classes mean that you get all the attention you need. Whether your goals are to become a professional dancer, or you want to get fit, or you just want to have fun, you can enjoy your studies at Belly Queen. Each student is given the same opportunities and is taught the same curriculum. However, the focus becomes more professional as you grow and learn. The basics are the same for everyone.
The length and tempo of the dances as well as the technical difficulty and complexity of each choreography have been carefully evaluated so that they are appropriately challenging for the level at which they are taught. Therefore, a higher lever student may take a lower level class, but students at a lower level may not take upper level classes.
Small Group Classes are listed as Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, or Open Level. Beginner dancers are those with little or no experience with Oriental Dance. An Intermediate student is expected to be able to play finger cymbals and know basic techniques. Advanced students are those who have been studying a minimum of three years. In the case of Open Level anyone can join regardless of the amount of trianing they have had. Beginners welcome!
